Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
We happen to agree.
In fact, one of our core values is education. It’s a big deal to us and a central part of what we do. This has a trickle-down effect on all of our programs.
One of our goals for the children in our sponsorship program is that each child receives a quality education. But in addition to educating children, we also do extensive teacher training for the educators in our schools. It's important to us that our schools operate with a high level of excellence. We want the children we serve to receive the best possible education.
Education is a powerful thing. Data and statistics show us that education is a leading indicator for raising a nation's GDP, improving the infant mortality rate, raising the percentage of entrepreneurs, as well as impacting how many families live below the poverty line.
In the Middle East specifically, if an individual doesn't have a good education they are often stuck in a life of poverty. There is little to no way to break the cycle of poverty without an education. This is why we put so much effort into our school and training initiatives. And why it’s been one of our top priorities from the very beginning.
Education for one child, one generation of children, has rippling effects on multiple generations. The value of a quality education is truly priceless.
Our motive behind investing in education efforts is simple: we want those we serve and work with to have as many chances and open doors as possible. This is what we endeavor to do. This is what you help with. You make this possible.
Thank you for making sure these kids have the opportunity for a better tomorrow.
